McDONALD AUGUSTUS GITTENS, affectionately known as โWhitieโ and โMacโ, aged 102 of Fairview Place, Bayville, St. Michael entered peacefully into rest on January 20, 2023. Former employee of the National Housing Corporation.
Son of the late Harold and Miriam Gittens.
Husband of the late Enid Gittens.
Father of Brenda Gittens, Marva Branch (Retired Secretary at Ministry of Foreign Affairs), Rossana Warner (Retired Teacher of Springer Memorial School), the late Kenneth Howell and Jeffrey Jones.
Grandfather of Brian Gittens, Dwayne and Natasha Branch, Nakita Branch- Trotman, Che Warner, Charlia Warner- Franklin, Steve and Romell Kirton.
Great- grandfather of Kymani and Niara Gittens, Kaiya and Zaia Warner Franklyn, Jemini, Jaziah and Jasani Mottley.
Uncle of Victor and Annette Gittens.
Father-in-law of Ean Warner.
Friend of Althea Alleyne, Nurse Shanna Greaves, and Dr Trevor Martyr.
A service of thanksgiving will be held on Friday, February 3, 2023 at Coral Ridge Memorial Gardens, where relatives and friends are warmly invited to meet at 10:00 a.m. for the service, followed by the interment. Mourning colours are optional. Flowers may be sent to Lyndhurst Funeral Home no later than 8:00 a.m. on Friday.
