It is with profound sadness that we announce the death of MERLENE SHIRLEY ALKINS LATOUCHE, aged 79 formerly of Rowans Park, St. George and Coffee Gully, St. Joseph.
February 10th, 1945 – January 30th, 2025. Everyone who met Merlene was moved by her warmth, kindness and positive spirit, she will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.
Merlene retired from Barbados National Bank after many decades of service. She was an active member of the Barbados Secretaries Association and the Aquarians.

A service of celebration and thanksgiving will be held on Monday, February 10th, 2025 at the St. George Parish Church, where relatives and friends are asked to meet at 10:00 a.m. The cortege will then proceed to St. Joseph Cemetery for the interment. Flowers may be sent to Lyndhurst Funeral Home no later than 7:00 a.m. on Monday. She will repose in the chapel of Lyndhurst Funeral Home on Sunday, February 9th, 2025, from 3:00 โ 5:00 p.m.
