I am saddened to have just learnt of Michael's passing. I grew up in Bank Hall and knew Michael and his twin brother very well. I visited with Michael back in the 70s, which now seems like a lifetime ago. We also went to school together at the Lodge School and got a long quote well.
I offer sincere condolences to the entire family. It is never easy losing a loved one, but I do pray that God will grant you comfort even as you grieve.

MICHAEL DURANT, aged 69, of Strathclyde, St. Michael entered peacefully into rest on September 9, 2024.
Son of the late Alleyne and Hyacinth Durant.
Father of Dominique Jemmott and Jason Durant.
Former husband of Emrene Durant.
Grandfather of Nathaniel and Joshua Jemmott and Jashaé Lewis.
Brother of Former Commissioner of Police Orville Durant, Roslyn Rhynd, Angela Wyke, Noel Durant (Germany Royal Air Force) and the late Dr. Dalton Durant and Rev. Arch Deacon Liverpool Stanton Durant.
Beloved Brother-in-law to Ushi, Grace, Blondelle, Undine and Dudley.
Beloved Uncle to many.
Beloved Father-in-law Lieutenant Mark Jemmott and Shawnette Lewis.
Friend of many including the workers of the MTW Department Barbados and the members of The Barbados Architecture Community.
A graveside service will be held on Friday, September 27th, 2024, at Coral Ridge Memorial Gardens, where relatives and friends are asked to meet at 10:00 a.m. Flowers may be sent to Lyndhurst Funeral Home no later than 7:00 a.m. on Friday.
