The Mark family announces the peaceful passing of MOLLIE IOLA GANTEAUME on Thursday, August 29th, 2024 at the age of 90. Lovingly known by most as “Iola” she is a former resident of” Sunnyside”, #21 Navy Gardens, Christ Church.

Devoted mother to Richard, Keith, Stephen, Lawrence, Cheryl, and Tammie. Mother-in-law to Jean, Michelle, Flor, Sandra, Charles, and Guy. Iola was born in Port-of-Spain, Trinidad on June 30, 1934, and was the beloved daughter of the late Neville Pogson and Mariee Pogson (nee Gransaul). Wife and best friend of the late Jim Mark, who was lost too soon. Daughter-in-law of the late Linton Mark and Yvonne Mark (nee Leake). Sister of the late Sarina Grell (nee Pogson) and Tyronne Pogson. Adored and inspiring grandmother to Shane (Janelle), Jesse (Joyce), Cody (Dominique), Lauren (Simon), Isabelle, Jim (Timmi), Stephanie (Ryan), Melanie (Trevor-John ‘TJ’), Christian, Jessica (Dwayne), Damien, Amanda (Antonio), Michael (Brianna), Morgan and Leah. Great grandmother to Eliana and Laila, Jonah and Jaxon, Iris, Levi, Marleigh, Jacob, and Charlotte, Reagan and Samsara, Carter, Maverick, Alice, Abigail and Adeline.

A service of celebration and thanksgiving will be held September 16th, 2024, at Coral Ridge Chapel, The Ridge, Christ Church where relatives and friends are asked to meet at 10:00 a.m. followed by private cremation. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Barbados Cancer Society.
