Molly Marquez

MOLLY ESPINET MARQUEZ, 83, of Petit Valley, Trinidad, transitioned peacefully into the arms of Jesus on Monday, November 29, 2021, at the home of her son, Dr. M. Sean Marquez, in Christ Church, Barbados.

She was the beloved wife of 63 years to Michael Marquez and is survived by him and their five children, Degna Horton, Sean, Jerome, Scott and Marc Marquez, her son-in-law, Keith, and daughters-in-law, Deborah, Marissa, Rachel, and Gordana, along with her 13 grandchildren, Graeme (Sher), Zana, Andrea (Stephen), Rhiannon, Brittany (Timothy), Ashton, Ian, Matthew, Gregory, Samantha, Neil, Dominic, and Abigail. She is also survived by 3 of her 9 siblings, Terence Espinet, Anne Marie Charles and Betty Espinet.

Molly was born on January 21, 1938, in Woodbrook, Trinidad, and graduated from St. Theresa’s Girls RC Secondary School. Shortly thereafter, she met her husband, Michael, at R.J. Shannon and Co. Ltd. She retired from her role as a life insurance agent at Guardian Life Insurance Co. where she faithfully served her clients.

Her legacy and impact will live on in the lives of many. Undoubtedly, her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, welcomed her with open arms as He said to her, “Well done, good and faithful servant. Great is your reward.” (Matt 25:21 and Matt 5:12).

A service of thanksgiving will take place on Thursday, December 09, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations to Living Waters Community would be graciously accepted.

The family invites you to view the live streaming of the service; to view, please click here.

Sincere condolences to the Marquez and extended Espinet family, please know that I share your grief. Molly's absence from the world will be greatly felt. I will miss the occasional phone call I got and the times we talked about anything and everything Molly had a strong faith and I know she is in the best place to be.
My Love to you all!

To all the family of Molly Marquez: -
Please accept our deepest condolences on the passing of Molly. I share personally in your grief as Molly held a special place in my heart - while officially I was her cousin nonetheless, she treated me as her Sister growing up together with Uncle Syd, Auntie Mue and the entire family. We thank God for her life of faith and for the love that she shared with her family whom she loved dearly and those close friends. Our sincere condolences are offered to you all...
