BRATHWAITE – MOREENE SHIRLEY, aged 80, of Passage Garden, Passage Road, St. Michael, entered into rest on November 4, 2025.
Daughter of the late James and Clarine Alleyne. Widow of George Brathwaite (Mackie). Mother of Adrian Alleyne, Paulette, Cecile and Nicole Brathwaite. Sister of Byron Alleyne (St. Vincent), and the late Nolan, Sylvester, Daphne Alleyne and Courtney Rice. Aunt of Tyrone and Tony (both of the UK) and Rosalind, Julian. Grandmother Of Hasani Boyce, Nandi Clarke, Mellissa Davis, Rhesa and Keira Alleyne, Danielle and Britney Bolden and the late Tyrell Alleyne. Mother-In-Law of Nicholas Davis and Keith Clarke. Special friend Of the Daisley family of Passage Gardens, Claudette Carrington and family, Beverley Edmund, Vincent Hassell and David Belgrave and others too numerous to mention. A service of celebration and thanksgiving will be held on Thursday, November 27, 2025 at James Street Methodist Church where relatives and friends are asked to meet at 10:00 a.m. The cortege will then proceed to Coral Ridge Memorial Gardens for the interment. Flowers may be sent to Lyndhurst Funeral Home no later than 11:00 a.m. on Thursday.
