PROVERBS – NEVILLE OWEN, better known as “Nobbie”, late of 29 Highgate Gardens, St. Michael entered peacefully into eternal rest at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital, after a brief illness. Former Manager of Guinea Plantation, St. John. Husband of Marion (Carter) Proverbs and the late Lorraine Proverbs. Father of Judy Watson (Ronald), Wendy Lewis (Peter dec’d) and Kay Blades (Dennis). Step-father of Trevor and Christopher Carter (Lina). Grandfather of Rebecca Edwards, Melissa Hutchinson, Megan Farmer, Kimberley McKinnon, Connor Blades, Ashley Royer, Brittany, Alyssa and Gizelle Carter. Great-grandfather of 7. Brother of Joan Ward and Patricia Carter.
The funeral leaves Lyndhurst Funeral Home, Passage Road, St. Michael on Thursday, January 09, 2020, for St. Philip Parish Church, where relatives and friends are asked to meet at 10:30 a.m. for the service and interment. In lieu of flowers, donations will be graciously accepted for the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Barbados and the Diabetes Association of Barbados. The wearing of jackets is optional.
