Phyllis Weekes

WEEKES – PHYLLIS ANN, aged 81 of 215 Madison Street, Mastic, New York, entered into rest on April 21, 2021. Member of the Church of God (Seventh-day).
Daughter of the late Allen and Luella Hayford. Wife of the late Pastor Hubert Worley Weekes. Mother of Debbie Weekes, Marcia Richards, David Weekes, Heidi Khalil, Priscilla Weekes, Autumn Willess and Tabitha Boyles. Grandmother of Tiffinnie, Alexander, Keziah, Elisabeth, Isaiah, Elijah, Anicah and Immanuel Weekes, Kanaan, Kinesa, Malachi, Emerald, and Jubilee Khalil, Gregory Blackshear, Hadassah, Alexandria, Zion and Ezekiel Albert, Issaac Willess, Elijah, Lily, Zendayen and Tinuviel Boyles. Great-grandmother of J’Shaun Saunders, Lexi Weekes, Enmber, Noah and Markany Khalil, and Lucas Self. Sister of 14 late siblings save one, Shirley Beverly. Mother-in-law of Ashraf Khalil and Cheryl Weekes. Friend of God. Phyllis was a loving mother, devoted wife, teacher, a versatile artist, and baker. She enjoyed playing the harmonica and collecting musical instruments. Phyllis worked in a publishing house and was also a foreign missions secretary. She taught engaging Sabbath School classes for children for many years. Above all, she was a daughter of God. Her burial will take place at Wofford Cemetery in Catoosa, Oklahoma, next to her husband.
