Rickey Singh

RICKEY RAMOTAR SINGH, Guyanese-born journalist of Strathclyde, St. Michael, Barbados passed on to new life on July 5, 2025. His career spanned over six decades of reporting and commentary on politics and world affairs. A man of service and faith, he was a devoted family man, and a committed Christian, who strove for equity, social justice and responsible governance of the Caribbean people.

Devoted husband of the late Patricia Evelyn Singh (née Wood).
Father of Wendy Singh-Lechner, Donna Ramsammy, Debbie Williams, Raoul Singh, Allison Drayton, Ramon Singh.

A service of celebration and thanksgiving will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Wednesday, July 16th , 2025 at the People’s Cathedral, Bishop’s Court Hill, St. Michael. Relatives, friends and well-wishers are asked to be seated at the church by 1:00 p.m. Pre-Service commences at 12:30 p.m. The cortege will then proceed to Coral Ridge Memorial Gardens, The Ridge, Christ Church for the interment. Flowers may be sent to Lyndhurst Funeral Home no later than 7:00 a.m. on Wednesday. Condolences and tributes can be posted on the Much-Loved site
