It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved REV. SHEILA NAOMI BENTHAM nee BOXILL aged 88, of Newbury, St. George, entered into rest on June 4, 2025. Retired Deacon of The Church of the Nazarene Barbados District.
Daughter of the late Adina Phillips and Frederick Boxill.
Widow of the late Rev Cameron Bentham.
Mother of Joy Rouse, Carolyn, Joel and Paul Bentham.
Sister of the late Berbina Maxwell, Lydia Chandler, Deborah Jackson, Mary Austin, Samuel and John Boxill.
Aunt of Kelly Ann Carter, Kevin Chandler, Keisha and Trevor Jackson, Andre, Anna, Alicia and Aaron Austin.
Grandmother of Sherise Rouse, Jehron, Kaira, Jade, Kegan and Jada Bentham.
Great-grandmother of Joanna Fofana and Chase Marshall.
Cherished relative of the Headley and Maxwell families and others are too numerous to mention.
A service of praise and thanksgiving will be held on, Thursday, June 26, 2025, at The Church of Nazarene, Collymore Rock, St Michael where relatives and friends are asked to meet at 2:00 p.m. The cortege will then proceed to Westbury Cemetery for the interment. The colours of celebration are green and yellow. Flowers may be sent to Lyndhurst Funeral Home no later than 10:00 a.m. on Thursday. The body of the late Sheila Bentham will repose in the Colin Parkinson Memorial Chapel, Lyndhurst Funeral Home on Wednesday, June 25, 2025, from 4:00 – 6:00 p.m.
