SHEILA LOIS SMITH née AARONS, of Husbands Heights, St. James entered into eternal rest on Saturday, 6th May, 2023 at the age of 78. Retired Head of the Science Department and Biology Teacher of the Alexandra School.
Daughter of the late Beryl and Allan Aarons
Wife of Mr. Selwyn Smith (Retired Public Servant).
Mother of Mrs. Simone Smith-St. Hill and Dr. Sean R. Smith
Sister of Mrs. Joy Audrey Brown, Mrs. Michele Aarons-Holder and Mr. Glen Paul Aarons (all of the USA) and Dr. Derrick Aarons (Jamaica).
Grandmother of Anya Pilgrim (USA), Stuart, Melissa and Matthew St. Hill.
Aunt of Audley and Valerie Campbell (Jamaica), Maya Jebodsingh (Canada) and Gabriele Holder (USA).
Mother-in-law of Mr. Mark St. Hill (CIBCFCIB).
Remembered lovingly by the Aarons, Smith and St. Hill families and many other relatives and friends.
A service of praise and thanksgiving celebrating the life of Sheila Lois Smith née Aarons will be held on Wednesday, May 17, 2023 at James Street Methodist Church, where relatives and friends are asked to meet at 2:00 p.m. for the service. The cortege will then proceed to Coral Ridge Memorial Gardens for the interment. Flowers may be sent to Lyndhurst Funeral Home no later than 12:00 noon on Wednesday. The body of the late Sheila Lois Smith née Aarons will repose in the Colin Parkinson Memorial Chapel, Lyndhurst Funeral Home on Tuesday, May 16, 2023 from 4:00 – 6:00 p.m.

On behalf of the entire Prince Williams High School Alumni Association, we wish Mr. Smith along with his entire family heartfelt condolences on the passing of your loved one. Death is never ever pleasant but know that your wife, mother, aunt, grandmother, friend is in a better place.

Mrs. Smith was my teacher at the Alexandra School. She was a loving teacher who encouraged us in our study of Biology. Because of her, I had a love of the subject. My condolences to her family.
