SONJA PATRICIA CALLENDER-HOYTE aged 64, of Amity Lodge, Christ Church and formerly of Lewis Gap, Goodland, St. Michael entered into rest on June 3, 2025.

Daughter of the late Esther Loretta Callender and Darcy Sandiford.
Beloved wife of Kenrick Hoyte.
Mother of Latoya (Pan American Life) and Shane Callender.
Loving grandmother of Twain Callender-Bostic (Barbados Workers Union), Makayla Callender-Benskin (SJPI) and Shayla Callender-Benskin (Springer Memorial School).
Sister of Susan Hinds (Florida), Rodney, Lynette (Trislyn Cleaning and Maintenance), Debbie, Julia and Troy (Netherlands) Callender, Deborah Dash (USA) and Anne Marie Atkinson (USA).

A service of celebration and thanksgiving will be held on Thursday, July 3, 2025, at St. Leonard’s Anglican Church where relatives and friends are asked to meet at 1:30 p.m. The cortege will then proceed to the Coral Ridge Memorial Gardens for the interment. Flowers may be sent to Lyndhurst Funeral Home no later than 11:00 a.m. on Thursday. The body of the late Sonja Patricia Callender-Hoyte will repose in the Colin Parkinson Memorial Chapel, Lyndhurst Funeral Home on Wednesday, July 2, 2025, from 4:00 – 6:00 p.m.
