SYDNEY SYLVESTER LASHLEY, aged 80, affectionately known as “Bop” or “Grand Sydney” of Prescod Bottom, Hindsbury Road, St. Michael. Retired Prison Officer, Transport Board conductor and Canteen Operator in the River Van Stand.
Father of Vernise Griffith, Kim Clarke -Wright, Ted, Gina and Gail Joseph.
Stepfather of Christopher Joseph.
Grandfather of Shaquile and Kijani Willow Griffith, Jakayla Riley, Kimora, Taija and Kylo Joseph, Nyrique Stuart, Kail, Kaniya and Kavida Joseph-Knight.
Cousin of Grace Murrell.
Cherished friend of Kathe-ann Grimes and family, Gwendoline Wickham, Marcelle Burke, Wendy Rowe and many others.
A service of celebration and thanksgiving will be held on, Monday, August 11, 2025, at The Leonard’s Anglican Church where relatives and friends are asked to meet at 2:30 p.m. The cortege will then proceed to Westbury Cemetery for the interment. Flowers may be sent to Lyndhurst Funeral Home no later than 11:00 a.m. on Monday.
