Daughter of the late Florence Barker and Llewyn Simmons.
Wife of Bertie Brathwaite. Mother of Wanda, Benita and the late Attlee Brathwaite.
Sister of the late Charles Hewitt and Gladstone Brewster.
Sister-in-law of Wilfred “Jingles” Brathwaite, Carlton, Jeffrey and Edwin Padmore, the late Whitfield “Peanuts” Smith, Henry and Lorraine Padmore, Joseph (Kenneth) Brathwaite and Bernadette (Cecily) Yearwood. Aunt, great aunt and great-great aunt of many. Relative of the King, Beckles, Crawford and Harding families and the late Cardenas Blackman.
A service of celebration and thanksgiving will be held on Saturday, May 23, 2026 at Bethel Methodist Church, Bay Street, St. Michael, where relatives and friends are asked to meet at 9:00 a.m. The cortege will then proceed to Westbury Cemetery for the interment. Flowers may be sent to Lyndhurst Funeral Home no later than 7:00 a.m. on Saturday.
