VASHTI EURETHA HERBERT NEE STRAUGHN, affectionately known as Cynthia aged 80, of Advent Avenue, Bank Hall, St. Michael, formerly of Venture, St. John entered peacefully into eternal rest on May 18, 2025.
Beloved daughter of the late Mr. Albert and Mrs. Muriel Straughn.
Loving wife of the late Theophillus Herbert.
Beloved mother of Anderson, Sonia, and the late Judeate Straughn.
Special mother of Dr. Nicole Branch.
Cherished grandmother of Xavier and Andeco Straughn.
Dear sister of Mrs. Theodora Mann, Captain Randolph Straughan, Mrs. Gloria Bailey, Mr. Grantley Straughan, Mrs. Joyce Branch, Captain Beverley Fields and Mr. Michael Straughn.

A service of celebration and thanksgiving will be held on, Tuesday, June 3, 2025, at All Souls Anglican Church-where relatives and friends are asked to meet at 1:00 p.m. The cortege will then proceed to St. John Parish Church for a viewing from 3:15 – 4:00 p.m. followed by the interment in St. John Churchyard. Flowers may be sent to Lyndhurst Funeral Home no later than 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday. The body of the late Vashti Herbert will repose in the Colin Parkinson Memorial Chapel, Lyndhurst Funeral Home on Monday, June 2, 2025, from 4:00 – 6:00 p.m.
