Vincent Sutherland

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Vincent Peter Fintan Sutherland on August 1, 2024.

Born on October 21, 1944, in Talparo, Trinidad, Vincent’s journey took him across the West Indies, where he built a life rich in experiences and relationships. He found his soulmate, Angela, in Barbados, and they shared 53 years of marriage.
Vincent’s journey took him and Angela to Newfoundland in Canada where they welcomed their only son Vince.
Vincent finally settled in Calgary, Alberta where he worked for Simmons Bedding for 30 years, and he and Angela operated a reupholstery business, the Furniture Clinic, in Inglewood for 35 years.
Husband of Angela.
Father of Vince.
Father-in-law of Shanna.
Brother of Marcel, Anthony, Theresa, Almarie, the late Stephen, Felix, David, Liz and Jean.
Uncle of Wendy, Daunte and Daelon and many others.
Brother-in-law of Marguerite Morris.
Great friend of O’Brian Murray, Dick and Adeline Ridley, Mr. and Mrs Vernon Martindale.
A service of celebration will be held on Tuesday, August 13, 2024 at the Colin Parkinson Memorial Chapel, Lyndhurst Funeral Home, where relatives and friends are asked to meet at 10:00 a.m. to remember a life that was truly a gift to us all. No flowers by special request. The body of the late Vincent Sutherland will repose in the Colin Parkinson Memorial Chapel, Lyndhurst Funeral Home on Monday, August 12, 2024 from 4:00 – 6:00 p.m.
