WALTER EUGENE BRATHWAITE affectionately known as Smity or George, aged 83, late of St. David’s Village, Christ Church and formerly of South District, St. George, entered peacefully into rest on October 15, 2023. Former employee of Courtesy Garage.
Son of the late Millicent Brathwaite and Walter Smith
Brother of Norman Brathwaite (retired supervisor of National Sports Council) and Marva Brathwaite (retired school meals server at South District Primary School)
Uncle of Arlene Taylor (Bridgetown Duty Free) David Brathwaite, Faye and Wayne Wood, Dorothy Greenidge (USA) and many others.
Great-uncle of Sandrene Greenidge- Jones, Richild and Yolanda Greenidge, Wayde, Lisa and Marlon Brathwaite, Tara Reid, Gabriel Husbands and others.

A service of celebration and thanksgiving will be held on Tuesday, November 7, 2023, St. David’s Church, St. David’s Christ Church, where relatives and friends are asked to meet at 2:00 p.m. for the service. The organist and members of the church choir are kindly asked to attend. Flowers may be sent to Lyndhurst Funeral Home no later than 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday.
