Dear Family Members
With reference to the death notice of Dr Winston Crookendale in the Sunday Sun dated 6 January 2019, I wish to offer my deepest sympathy.
Few things cause more stress or heartache than the death of a parent, sibling, relative, or dear friend.
A strong belief in a loving God brings comfort, The Bible says at Psalm 34:15 “The eyes of Jehovah are on the righteous and his ears listen to their cry for help.”
Expressing our feelings in prayer to God is more than good therapy or a means of organizing our thoughts. It actually helps to establish a personal relationship with the Creator, who can use his power to comfort us.
I sincerely hope that this brief note will be of some practical help during the grieving process.
K Janette

My deepest condolences to Carla-mae, Graeme and Vanya on the passing of your Dad. As a teenager and as a young man, I can recall only seeing your Dad,Dr Crookendale,
operating in two modes - when he was not inspiring us as younger people, he was encouraging us. He knew his calling. May his soul rest in peace.

Dr. Winston Crookendale has left an indelible impact on my life and was a central figure in the development of my Christian walk as a university student in the early 70's. His example, as well as his advice, clarified for me essential issues in my Christian faith that set the tone for my whole life and ministry. I am eternally grateful and commit to praying for his family and those close to him that mourn his passing. May his soul rest in peace and may light perpetual shine upon him.

Winston, we miss you, I remember an occasion when we were chatting and we said that a Christian's life is like the stars in the sky giving light to this dark dark earth. You are one of those lights shining down amidst the stars still giving your light, laughter friendship and talent to the earth.
May God continue to blessing and comfort your family and all those you miss you.

"Doc", the only name I referred to Dr. Crookendale as was more than one of my clients/ employers. He was my good friend & the big brother I never had. A man of integrity, A man I trusted and highly respected, A man who trusted and highly respected me, A man who stuck closer than a brother, A man who tried to help all of his friends & found time for them no matter how busy he was. He loved many and was loved by many. He has healed and influenced the lives of many, and therefore he will be missed by many. "He has left us too soon".
On behalf of my wife and I, I wish to express to the entire Crookendale family, relatives and friends, our deepest condolences, love & support at this time of bereavement.
God Bless.
"May he rest in peace and rise in glory".
