In loving memory of YVONNE MARTELLE HAYNES, better known as “Ponnah”, aged 79, of Sherbourne #1, St. John, entered into rest on September 8, 2022. Faithful member of the Mount Tabor Moravian Church Choir, Womens’ Fellowship, Culpepper Group and Moramus Singers.
Beloved Mother of Julia, Elvis, Emerson and the late Jerry Haynes.
Grandmother of Ramona, Renetta, Mashonda, Michael, Juanita, Junior, Janice and the late Daunte Haynes.
Great-Grandmother of Stefon, Cedriona and Jave.
Great Great-Grandmother of Sierra and Siarra.
Sister of Joyclyne Beckles, Robin Haynes, Fostein Clarke, David Best and the late Patrick and Albert Haynes.
Aunt of 6.
Great-Aunt of 8.
Godmother of Ikel Bailey.
Relative of the Haynes, Jackman, Best, Howard, Crookendale and Walcott families.
Special Friend of Undine Shorey, June Smith, the Bascombe, Nurse and Moravian Church families, the entire Sherbourne community and many more.
A service of celebration and thanksgiving will be held on Thursday, September 29, 2022 at Mount Tabor Moravian Church, where relatives and friends are asked to meet at 3:30 p.m. for the service, followed by the interment. The Organist and members of her various groups are kindly asked to attend. No mourning colours by special request. Flowers may be sent to Lyndhurst Funeral Home no later than 12:30 p.m. on Thursday. The body of the late Yvonne Martelle Haynes will repose in the Colin Parkinson Memorial Chapel, Lyndhurst Funeral Home on Wednesday, September 28, 2022 from 4:00 – 6:00p.m. Kindly note that all COVID-19 protocols will be in effect.
