It is with the deepest of hearts we announce the passing of STEVEN LAWRENCE, affectionately known as “Lawrence” of Cottage Crescent, St. George, entered peacefully into rest at the age of 66 years. Loving husband of Cindy-Ann Lawrence. Dada of Reneem Renée. Brother of Heather Lawrence. Uncle to Steve Williams, Kelly and Crisante Lawrence, Diana Gumbs, Ninoska, Tamisha, and Tina Lambert, and many others. Dearest friend to Manilla Renée. Long-time friend to Vanda and Leroi Moore, Mr. Osmonde Douglas, Floyd Greene, Heather Scott, Deborah Barrow, and many others. Relative of the Lambert and Biscette families from St. Lucia and the Shury family. “Lawrence” lived with a deep appreciation for life’s mystery, guided more by spirituality than by doctrine. He held a quiet sense that life was part of something larger than us. While his physical presence is no longer with us, we take comfort in believing that his essence has simply moved beyond the visible world, continuing its journey in a greater realm of peace and God’s eternal love. Daughter of the late Joseph and Ivy King. Devoted and loving mother of Pamela Jones-Thomas (Digicel Head of Human Resources based in St. Lucia, former HR Manager at Shell Barbados). Cherished grandmother of Brianna Thomas and Cayla Phillips. Loving sister of Roger and Sandra Trotman of Barbados, Tyrone and Dorian Trotman of Canada and the late Anthony Trotman and Barbara Burgess. Mother-in-law of Chiron Phillips. Aunt of Andrea King, Asif Trotman, Shan Thompson, Greg, Mark and Shontell Trotman (Canada), Cynthia Moore, Theresa and Janette Mayers, and Diana, David, Sharon and Rozzell (USA). The family of the late IANTHE (Browne Carter) KNIGHT, affectionately known as “Big Mum,” aged 101, of Upper Carters Gap, Enterprise, passed away peacefully on March 25, 2026 at the age of 101. She was preceded in death by her parents, Bismark Dacosta-Drayton and Clarice Everlin Browne; her husband, Mitchell Carter; her children, Leo Carter, Dr John Carter, Sandrine (Carter) Knight, and Lisle Carter; her siblings, Berkley Barrow, Eulene Weekes, and Vita Walcott; and her niece and nephew, Seedi and Keith. She leaves to cherish her memory her only surviving son, Orlie Carter; her grandchildren: Donn, Winfield and Everette Knight, Ian, David, Sean, Adrian, Adam, Christopher, Robert, John Andre, Dwayne, Dwight, Rochelle and NyAshia Carter, Andrea (Carter) Hall, Macaire De Freitas and Suzanne (Carter) Harris, along with a host of great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews including Michael, Maria, Merlene, McArthur and Ian Barrow, Kavin and Hosmer Weekes.
