Official Death Certificates are needed to deal with Insurance companies, Banks, Lawyers and Utility companies. You can order as many as you think you may need initially because you can always have some re-ordered.

What Do I Need for the National Insurance Funeral Grant
The Funeral Grant is given to the individual who has paid the funeral expenses. You will need to present the National Insurance with original Death Certificates, original receipt(s) showing payment of $1,000.00 or over and the Application form. The receipt(s) must be in the name of the person who is claiming for the Grant.
