I am deeply saddened to hear of Carl's death, he was my Troop Sgt in The Depot Regiment Royal Corps of Transport from early 1975 to July 1976. He was an excellent Troop Sgt, a fellow member of the Depot Regiment Rugby Team, a very fine cricketer and a good friend! I managed to drop in on him when he was RSM 10 Regiment in Germany to have a lengthy chat. I was delighted to see an article in the British Army's Soldier Magazine when he had become Force Sgt Maj of the Barbados Defence Force. He was preparing for a visit by Her Majesty The Queen and the article made great play about his having attended the Drill Course at The Guards Depot. I had to smile as I knew his views on the course! The family of The Royal Corps of Transport has lost a fine man and a great character with his passing! My wife and I would like to extend our sincere condolences to all his family and friends for their sad loss!

My sympathy is extended to the Brome family. Mr. Brome Sr has left a legacy of professionalism and gallantry and will be remembered by those who came into contact with him. May God's comfort and peace be with you all.

A tribute to a friend, colleague and most importantly one of ours
โLife on this earth so short for some and much longer for others
โฆโฆbut in the end, learning to live like sisters and brothers;
We all have our ups and downsโฆ.
โฆ..a cheeky smile, Carleon or Bromie always had; was much better than those awful frowns.
As we prepare to bid farewell to a good ole soulโฆโฆ
Let me say and be bold โฆ.
Hensley, Carleon and Sam were the three; they added me, and we became four;
A family with more good days than bad days, we were to the core.
We have now become three, but he will forever be, there in our hearts and souls.
One gone, out caught, stumped you never know, but looking over usโฆ.
In God, we will trust and that is a must;
His family, friends and colleagues work and otherwise, in this time of sorrow and grief;
May your hearts forever find peace;
Knowing and remembering that sweet smile, his laughter and naughty look he always had,
And although in pain and sorrow, no longer be sad;
Remember the good and be always gladโฆโฆ
โฆ.he is at peace.โ
โฆโฆโฆโฆโฆโฆโฆโฆโฆโฆโฆ..Leslay
We masters are a special breed, there for each other when in need.

Topic: Grieving Differently with COVID 19
In this Social Work Season 2021 of Love and Loss ... Sunday March 21 takes us to a place of 'Loss'
'Ubuntu' I am because We are standing on the foundation built by Social Worker Legends. Much of today is being built on COVID 19. It has caused much delayed grief, new funeral arrangements and new fears to enter a funeral home or to touch a loved one.
To take us through this COVID 19 Grieving differently is Mr. Peter Griffith, Funeral Director of Lyndhurst Funeral Home.
