Rashid Orlando Marville entered into rest at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital on August 22, 2020. Born July 26, 1936 in the Parish of St. Lucy, he resided in many countries and continents including the USA, Belgium, Venezuela, Sweden, and Western Africa. He returned to Barbados (Brittons Hill, St. Michael) for the last thirty years of his life. Marville was an avid reader, consumer of knowledge, and a proud patriot and advocate of his country, holding the distinguished positions of Senator, Barbadian Diplomat and Ambassador, Professor, and Author.
Beloved son of the late Verona Marville Garvey and John Yearwood.
Husband of Anita Marville.

The funeral leaves Lyndhurst Funeral Home, Passage Road, St. Michael on Friday, September 11, 2020 for St. Davidโs Church, St. David, Christ Church, where relatives and friends are asked to meet at 10:00 a.m. for the service, followed by a private cremation. No Mourning Colours by special request. Please be aware that all COVID restrictions will be observed.
