OXLEY – LOUISE JESTINA, aged 104, entered into rest on May 30, 2023. Former seamstress of Sherbourne #2, St. John. Wife of the late Archibald Oxley. Devoted mother of Lorraine, Gloria and the late Whitfield and Onita Oxley. Sister of the late James Grosvenor and Iris Newton. Cherished aunt of Alicia Deane, Osbourne Jessamy, Denise Walton, Nigel and Dorian Newton, Clestine Crookendale and Anthony Nurse. Beloved great-aunt of Marielle Shorey, Omari Deane, Maria, Jean-Marie and Dwayne Walton. Relative of Enid Harris, Keith and Hazel Taitt, Kathryn Downes, Nola Bynoe-Mayers, Colleen and Paul Waterman, Grace Aimey, Melvin McCollin and Carl Jordan. Cherished friend of Isabelle Mapp, Marlene Holmes, Vila Sargeant, Vita Harris, Doris Belgrave, Doreen and Beverley Maynard, Audrey Knight, June Sealy, Leejay Greaves, Sonia Greene, Judy Graham, Yvonne Yearwood, Merle Taitt, Keith Jones, Frank Goodridge, Linel Franklin and Glendine Goddard. A service of celebration and thanksgiving will be held on Saturday, June 10, 2023 at Mount Tabor Moravian Church, where relatives and friends are asked to meet at 10:00 a.m. followed by the interment. Flowers may be sent to Lyndhurst Funeral Home no later than 7:30 a.m. on Saturday. The body of the late Louise Oxley will repose in the Colin Parkinson Memorial Chapel, Lyndhurst Funeral Home on Friday, June 9, 2023 from 4:00 – 6:00 p.m.
