CUMBERBATCH – BERKELEY DEWAINE, of Belair, St. Philip and formerly of Hawthorne Street, Brooklyn, New York and Horse Hill, St. Joseph, entered into rest on March 07, 2022.
Husband of Merlene Cumberbatch. Father of Jay Cumberbatch. Brother of Oswald, Juville and Anthony Cumberbatch, Nita Shepherd and Rev. Enid Estwick (New Testament Church of God), the late Priestly and Beatrice Cumberbatch, Albert Springer and Guardley Forde. Brother-in-law of Frank, Vera, Isaline, Audrey, Eden and the late Muriel Moore. Relatives of Springer family (St. Andrew), Sargeant and Haynes families (St. Joseph). Friend of Derek, Keith, Phylo, Meglyn, Celestine, Cora Young, the Edghill family (Seaview) and the Beulah Church family.
A service of celebration and thanksgiving will be held on Wednesday, March 23, 2022 at Beulah Methodist Church, where relatives and friends are asked to meet at 2:00 p.m. for the service. The cortege will then proceed to St. Joseph Parish Churchyard for the interment. Flowers may be sent to Lyndhurst Funeral Home no later than 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday. The body of the late Berkeley Dewaine Cumberbatch will repose in the Colin Parkinson Memorial Chapel, Lyndhurst Funeral Home on Tuesday, March 22, 2022 from 4:00 – 6:00 p.m. Kindly note that all COVID-19 protocols will be in effect.
