Ben was an amazing gentleman who genuinely cared about people and was very generous with his time and tax expertise. Ben convinced me to remain in Jamaica to practice tax for 20 years even though I was adamant, when I first met him in 2002, that I could only do a 3-year transfer from Toronto. He had an unsurpassed knowledge of tax treaty law and was a legend in the Caribbean tax world. I would like to offer my deepest condolences to Ben’s wife Shelley and to all his family members and colleagues. The loss of Ben is felt by many people all over the world but our memories of him will last forever. May his Soul Rest in Peace.

A service of celebration and thanksgiving will be held on Friday, August 26, 2022 at the chapel of Mount Pleasant Memorial Gardens, Pleasant Hall, St. Peter, where relatives and friends are asked to meet at 4:00 p.m. followed by the interment. Flowers may be sent to Lyndhurst Funeral Home no later than 2:00 p.m. on Friday. Kindly note that all COVID-19 protocols will be in effect.
