SMART, CARMELITA LEONE, aged 81, also known as “Madds” of 4th Avenue Free Hill, Black Rock, St. Michael, entered peacefully into rest on May 30, 2022.
Mother of Steve Smart (UK), Derick, Maldeane and Glory Blenman, Ermintha Thomas and Stacia Smart-Benn. Grandmother of Jason Blenman (USA), Reynold and Omar Smart, Kerry, Katrina and Paul Blenman, Mandisa Blenman-Murray, Paulette Thomas and the late Ricardo Blenman-Murray. Great-Grandmother of 10. Great Great-Grandmother of 1. Sister of Joan Packering, MacDonald (Grynner) Blenman, Cheryl, Anthony and Herman Blenman, Juliette Odle and the late Barbara Ashby. Mother-in-law of Andy Thomas and the late Owen Benn. Aunt of Natasha London and Nicole Sealy (USA), Marceline Blenman (UK), Juliann Blenman (Canada), St. Clair Blenman, Perleta Jordan, Kimberly Blenman and many others. Friend of Henderson Burnett, Anthony Murray and many others.
A service of celebration and thanksgiving will be held on Friday, June 17, 2022 at Stephen Anglican Church, where relatives and friends are asked to meet at 2:30 p.m. for the service and interment. Flowers may be sent to Lyndhurst Funeral Home no later than 11:30 a.m. on Friday. The body of the late Carmelita Leone Smart will repose in the Colin Parkinson Memorial Chapel, Lyndhurst Funeral Home, on Thursday, June 16, 2022 from 4:00 – 6:00 p.m. Kindly note that all COVID-19 protocols will be in effect.
