On behalf of The Barbados Land Surveyors Association (BLSA), my family and myself, we wish to express sincere condolences to the family and friends of Charles (Mike) Griffith former Chief Surveyor. he was my first boss and mentor for over 10 years at the Lands and Surveyors Department in Barbados.

CHARLES EDWARD GRIFFITH, better known as MIKE, of 11B Airy Hill, St. George, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, September 10th, 2024, at the age of 88.
Son of the late Charles and Lucille Griffith. Father of Sandra Proverbs, Patrick Griffith and Sharman Skinner. Grandfather of Paige and Robyn Proverbs; Justine Dyer, Zoë and Adam Griffith; and Shane Skinner. Father-in-law of Ian Proverbs and Lisa Leo-Rhynie. Brother-in-law of Pam Griffith and Pooran “Pat” Doon. Uncle of David Griffith, Marlyn Lam and John Griffith; Marietta and Andrea Petterson; Edgar, Jonathan and Charles Griffith; Fabian (dec’d) and Teffany Griffith; Leslie Paul Lett and Anne Wilkinson; Angela Peel and Katrina Ferreira; and Brian and Paul Springer. Friend of Jane Arnott, Ian and Sandy Hale, Hilary and Keith Green.
The Memorial Service for the late Charles “Mike” Griffith will be held on Thursday, October 3rd, 2024 at the Coral Ridge Memorial Chapel at 2:00pm. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation. The family kindly requests that mourning colours not be worn, and gentlemen are advised jackets and ties are not necessary.
