Condolences
To Family and Friends of
Charles Leacock, QC

On behalf of his many friends, colleagues and alumni of The Duke of Edinburghโ€™s Commonwealth Study Conferences and the Caribbean-Canada Emerging Leadersโ€™ Dialogues, we send our sincere condolences to his family and friends on the passing of a great leader, Charles Leacock, QC.

Charles participated in the 2003 Commonwealth Study Conference held in Australia and India where he met many Commonwealth country leadership peers. He subsequently joined with fellow alumni in Barbados and Canada in the planning and delivery of the first Caribbean-Canada Emerging Leadersโ€™ Dialogue held in 2011. Charles and his colleagues planned an exceptional experience in Barbados for the study group visit and the closing events presided over by HRH The Princess Royal. Charles was also a key member of the planning team for a similar event held in 2015.

Charles was committed to the importance of sharing his deep knowledge and skills to the betterment of his country and with the next generation of young leaders. He made use of his keen mind and winning smile to bring together the exceptional people and needed resources to help further his belief in leadership training for young professionals. His kindness and thoughtful leadership will be missed by all who worked with him and we mourn his loss with his wife and children and many colleagues and friends.
