COX – CLAUGHTON GILBERT, better known as “Gilly” or “Coxy”, Formerly of Hunte Street and Durham Close, Grazettes St. Michael, entered into peaceful rest on May 17th, 2022 at the age of 94. Retired employee of the Psychiatric Hospital.
Father of Michelle and Andre Boyce (Both of the USA), Annette Francis, Sonia and Jo-ann Boyce and the late June Belverene Boyce. Grandfather of Sandy, Dashida, Sheana and Shadiamond Boyce and Rohn Francis all of the U.S.A, Rommell, Kadar, Kadisha, Giovanni, Shem, and Shanique Boyce. Great Grandfather of Kemiyah Boyce of the USA, Tremaine Devonish and Kenico Perry. Uncle of Myrna Osbourne of the USA, Mary Reeves, Colvin Green, Paul, Wendell, Tyrone and Valerie Cox, Coleridge (Junior) and Barbara Clarke, Myrtle Reeves-Boyce, and the late Delores Clarke-Cox and Oscar Cox. Brother of the late Elaine and Silva Doreen Cox of Hunte Street. Great Uncle of Susan Cox-Barton, Sanchia Cox-Walcott and many others. Cousin of Doris Reeves and Kyle Mascoll of Navy Gardens, Christ Church. A service of celebration for the late Claughton Gilbert Cox leaves Lyndhurst Funeral Home, Passage Road, St. Michael, on Wednesday, June 8th, 2022, where relatives and friends are asked to meet at 10:00 a.m. for the service at the Zion Sons of God Apostolic Spiritual Baptist Church, Richmond Gap, St. Michael, followed by the interment at Westbury Cemetery. Flowers may be sent to Lyndhurst Funeral Home, no later than 8:00 a.m. on Wednesday. The body of the late Claughton Gilbert Cox will repose in the Colin Parkinson Memorial Chapel, Lyndhurst Funeral Home on Tuesday, June 7th, 2022 from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. All COVID-19 protocols will be in effect.
