BISPHAM NEE ALLEYNE, MSc – DAPHNE ELAINE, affectionately known as “Aunt Daph” or “Miss Daphne”, entered into rest on August 14, 2022. Former teacher at the Clifton Hill Junior School and Principal of Turner Hall Primary School. Member of the Sharon Women’s Fellowship and the Arose and Autumn Leaves Clubs. Wife of the late Charles M. Bispham. Sister of Colvin Walter Sobers (Canada), Monica Sobers Hylton (Trinidad), the late Marion Alleyne Lynch, Jean Case, Roy Sobers and Antoinette Sobers. Aunt of Antoinette Roise (USA), Arlene and David Case (Canada), Rawle Sobers (Trinidad), Shelly, Beverly, Colvin and Tracy Sobers (Canada), Kelli-Mae Goddard-Sobers-Johnson (USA) and the late Caroline Sobers. Great-Aunt of eight. Beloved Cousin of Wendell Shepherd (UK), the late Leroy Marshall and many others. Godmother of Collette Clarke-Farrell (Canada), Patricia Lewis and Maurice Southwell (USA), Simone Jean-Marie and others. Relative of the Alleyne, Headley, Jackman, Jordan, and Springer families. Loyal friend of Judith Graham, Cecilia Dyer (USA) and Anthony King and the late Sonia Harding. Sincere friend of Gladys Roett, Gloria Skeete, Clara Grant, Muriel Todd, Sheila Small, Rev. Dr. Errol and Joycelyn Connor (V.I), Rev Movelle Kellman, Olga Forde, Pauline Byer, Carmen Licorish, Eurene Alleyne, Flo Jean-Marie, Angela Applewhaite, Cora Waldron, Kerry Bryan, and many others. A service of celebration and thanksgiving will be held on Friday, August 26, 2022 at the Sharon Moravian Church, where relatives and friends are asked to meet at 10:00 a.m. followed by the interment. Flowers may be sent to Lyndhurst Funeral Home no later than 7:30 a.m. The body of the late Daphne Elaine Bispham will repose in the Colin Parkinson Memorial Chapel, Lyndhurst Funeral Home on Thursday, August 25, 2022 from 4:00 – 6:00 p.m. Kindly note that all COVID-19 protocols will be in effect.
