BAIN – EDWARD GORDON WELLS, also known as ‘Gord’ ‘Gordo’, ‘G’, ‘Uncle G’ to many and ‘Sputnik’ of #229 1st Avenue Bagatelle Terrace, St. Thomas entered into rest on August 13, 2020. Son of Ivan and Meta Bain. Beloved husband of Cheryl Bain. Father of Douglas (Stephanie) and Derek (Danielle). Grandfather of Gabriel. Brother of Arthur, Robert, the late Rosamund, Ronald, Violet and Gilbert. Godfather of Julianne Gibbs, Jake Moller (U.K.), Leslie Griffith, Patricia Lessey (USA) and Karen Marshall (N.Z.). Uncle to many. Brother-in-law to many with special mention to Trevor (Hutch) and Michele (Mimi) Hutchinson who were there for the family throughout his illness. Special thanks go to Nurse Janice Browne, Nurse Dennise Mascoll and especially Nurse Melissa Carrington who was there to the very end. A memorial service will take place on Friday, August 28, 2020 at the chapel of Coral Ridge Memorial Gardens, The Ridge, Christ Church where relatives and friends are asked to meet at 10:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Barbados RSPCA would be graciously accepted. No tie, jacket or mourning colours are to be worn by special request.
