Mr. Brathwaite was my Deputy Principal at Ellerslie Secondary. I always admired him because he held authority but was not domineering. He was kind, genuine and welcoming. He was always willing to listen, slow to judge and always ready to give an encouraging word.

Over 20 years later, I am sure he wondered who I was when I would excitingly greet him whenever I saw him but he always smiled and said something nice.

We've lost an exceedingly talented, authentic, loving person but I pray that we would all emulate him as we go on.

Deepest condolences to his family and friends. May you feel the comfort that God promises.
