Griselda Michelle Batson née Leacock, affectionately known as “Michelle”, aged 55, late of Observatory Road, Clapham, St. Michael entered peacefully into rest at the QEH. Former employee of Purity Bakeries.
Wife of the late Michael Batson.
Daughter of the late Eleazer Chase and Eurene Leacock.
Beloved mother of Renaldo and Rochelle Batson (CGI).
Devoted grandmother of Alissa McConney (Deighton Griffith), Asia Batson (People’s Cathedral), Zyaire and Zuri Batson.
Mother-in-law of Kimberley Batson (BFC).
Cherished sister of Cemone and Adrian Leacock, Leroy, John and Edward Jackman, the late Darnley Jackman, Rudolph and Orville Leacock.
Aunt of Petula Wiggins, Lindsay and Shontelle Leacock, Nicholas Leacock (New York) and Dwayne Elcock.
Great-aunt of many.
Cousin of many.
Relative of the Batson, Leacock, Chase, Clarke, Jackman and Branch families.

A service of celebration will be held on Thursday, October 12, 2023 at The Collymore Rock Church of the Nazarene, where relatives and friends are asked to meet at 1:30 p.m. The cortege will then proceed to Coral Ridge Memorial Gardens for the interment. Mourning colours are optional. Flowers may be sent to Lyndhurst Funeral Home no later than 11:00 a.m. on Thursday. The body of the late Griselda Batson will repose in the Colin Parkinson Memorial Chapel, Lyndhurst Funeral Home on Wednesday, October 11, 2023 from 4:00 – 6:00 p.m.
