I am so sorry to hear about the passing of Ruth. She was truly the matriarch of Sion Hill and I so enjoyed our conversations over the years. I had always hoped I would see her again, but it was not meant to be. I have many fond memories of Sion Hill. Andrew, you adopted me while I lived in Barbados, and invited me to the house on many occasions which continued with my family over the years. These memories I will never forget. Andrew, I think of you so often particularly now with the lose of your mom. It has been a blessed having known your family. My deepest sympathy goes out to you, Jen, and Mellisa. Sion Hill will always have a special place in my heart.
Sending sincere condolences from all our family here.. I will miss her unique character, long chats and visits, as you will too. Remembering the happy days and fun times we shared through the years. Her drive and determination was truly remarkable and and it was incredible what she achieved through her hard work Now Rest In Peace Ruth, your job was well done. Love to all.
Andrew- Jenn- Melissa- Husbands and 4 little ones..
..With sorrow in my heart but great memories, and stories to repeat I hope we can find the strength to move on. Ruth /mum/ Gran/ Great Gran.... you are at peace now, so we too, will find ours in time. Rest In Peace.

To Jennifer, Melissa and family, we send our deepest condolences to you. While I was not close with Gran for the short time that I spent with her I could see what a positive impact she made on so many of your lives. How fortunate for both you and her that she was able to experience one of the best gifts in life, the joy of not only grand children but great grandchildren. We hope you find comfort in knowing she is at peace with her daughter Jenn.

Ruth was a wonderful lady. I will always remember her love of Barbados and listening to her stories while out for a tour of the island. She was a wealth of knowledge.

Our deepest condolences to the whole family. While I did not know Ruth for a long time she left a great impression on me and how important her family was to her. What a beautiful family she leaves behind and how fortunate for her to experience the joy of 4 beautiful great grand children. Thinking of you all and happy for her that she is with her husband and daughter once again.

I always looked forward to Ruth's shared wisdom and spunk.
Never one to mince words, she spoke her mind, "an entitlement of ageing", she would say.
We have all been blessed to have known her.

She was an incredible lady, nothing was ever too much, such a positive attitude ,loved her family and will always be remembered.RIP

Topic: Grieving Differently with COVID 19
In this Social Work Season 2021 of Love and Loss ... Sunday March 21 takes us to a place of 'Loss'
'Ubuntu' I am because We are standing on the foundation built by Social Worker Legends. Much of today is being built on COVID 19. It has caused much delayed grief, new funeral arrangements and new fears to enter a funeral home or to touch a loved one.
To take us through this COVID 19 Grieving differently is Mr. Peter Griffith, Funeral Director of Lyndhurst Funeral Home.
