WAITHE – HUGH ANDERSON, aged 59, of “Windy Cot”, Near Sharon, St. Thomas, entered into rest on April 21, 2023. Employee of Infra Inc and Former employee of Rayside Construction Inc. Long-Standing Member of Kickstart Rush Family.
Son of the late Cecil and Tabitha Waithe. Father of Matthew and Joshua Waithe (Alexandra School) and Ariann Burke. Brother of Patricia Layne, Cynthia Waithe, the late Cecil Waithe Jr. and Ronald Maynard. Nephew of Katherine Devonish, Barry Brathwaite and Magnal Waithe (UK). Uncle of Peter and Resa Layne, Julia Waithe-Claude (USA), Dwight, Nicholas and Chanel Waithe. Great-Uncle of Arianna, Aiyanna, Julie-ann and Jessica (USA). Relative of the Cumberbatch, Mayers and Waithe families. Godson of the late Edward Layne. Family friend of Gaylene Romeo, Jacqueline Burke and Shayla Nunes. Long-time Friend of Charles Lynch, Michael Thorpe, Vincent Yearwood, Marquetta Rayside, Mary Jordan, Femi Sundiata, Vanita Payne, Maureen Daniel, Vincent Murray (Mapps College), Skeete, Pilgrim, Shorey, Holder, Beckles, Sharon Moravian Church Family and many more.
The funeral leaves Lyndhurst Funeral Home, Passage Road, St. Michael on May 30, 2023, for Sharon Moravian Church, where relatives and friends are asked to meet at 3:00 p.m. for the service and interment. In lieu of flowers, a monetary donation to the restoration fund, Sharon Moravian Church, will be graciously accepted. The body of the late Hugh Waithe, will repose in the Colin Parkinson Memorial Chapel, Lyndhurst Funeral Home on Monday, May 29, 2023 from 4:00 – 6:00 p.m.
