Son of the late Mabel Bishop. Father of Jean and Adrian Bishop (UK). Grandfather of Latoya, Stephanie, Neisha, Aaron, Leon, Tiana and Leesha. Great Grandfather of Kaylan, Nevaeh, Savannah and Kayden. Brother of the late Isabel, Carol, Sheila, Monica and Winfield. Uncle of many nieces and nephews. Relative of Jeanette Rawlins (USA) and the late Michael Walcott (Barbados). Friend of Sir Rannie and many others in the UK and USA.
A Service of Celebration and Thanksgiving for the life of James Henderson Bishop will be held on Monday, May 09, 2022 at Coral Ridge Memorial Gardens, The Ridge, Christ Church, where relatives and friends are asked to meet at 11:00 a.m. Flowers may be sent to Lyndhurst Funeral Home no later than 7:30 a.m. on Monday. Kindly note that all COVID-19 protocols will be in effect.

Grandad, what can I say? How can I sum up decades of great memories and feelings in such a short space?

You were more like a father to me than a grandfather- always there when needed even as an adult. When your mind was unfairly taken gradually with Alzheimer’s it was so hard and upsetting to watch. Grandad, you were a fantastic role model who could always be relied on 100%- no matter what the issue was.

I just hope that you are at peace now, continuing to live life up above more comfortably and fulfilling. Kaylan and Nevaeh will never forget the wonderful great- grandad that you were either and your name will forever live on in Kaylan James.

Grandad I will always miss and love you, they say that time is a healer and my only comfort is knowing that you are finally at peace and no longer suffering. Heaven has gained a true legend x
