JEAN SYLVIA LADY RAMSEY, late of 39 Pleasant View, Cave Hill, St. Michael and formerly of Trinidad and Tobago, entered into eternal rest in her 98th year, on Thursday, 16th May, 2024.
Widow of the late Sir (Dr.) Frank Ramsey;
Mother of Geoffrey, Judy, Joy and Lisa;
Grandmother of Ché Jordan, Jason and Nathan Ramsey, Jonathan, Nicholas and André Delaney, Noah and Ethan Hicks;
Great-grandmother of Liam Jordan, Billie and Juliette Delaney;
Eldest daughter of the late Harold and Claudia Persad;
Sister of Ansel, Dennis, Carlyle and Lennox Persad (all dec’d), Belma Hutchinson, Phyllis Jardine and Marjorie Vieira;
Mother-in-law of Deborah Ramsey, Pedro Delaney, Floyd Hicks and the late Livy Jordan;
Grandmother-in-law of Selena and Tessa Delaney;
Sister-in-law of Errol Jardine and Alan Vieira;
Aunt of 22 nephews and nieces;
Friend of Celeste Sylvester, Dr. Jeannette Allsopp, Marcia Hinds and Dr. Jolly Cherian;

The funeral of the late Jean Sylvia Ramsey leaves Lyndhurst Funeral Home, Passage Road, St. Michael on Tuesday May 28, 2024, for the Chapel at Coral Ridge Memorial Gardens, Christ Church, where relatives and friends are asked to meet at 10:00 a.m. for a Thanksgiving Service to celebrate her life, followed by a private cremation. In lieu of flowers, donations would be graciously accepted for The Visual Arts Department of the Barbados Community College.
