KENRICK HAYDN LEOPOLD DEANE of #31 3rd Avenue West Terrace Gardens, St. James and formerly of “Deaneville” St. Bernard’s Village St. Joseph entered into peaceful rest at the age of 89. Retired Finance Officer of the Ministry of Agriculture
Son of the late Emmeline and Eldon Deane.
Husband of Alma Deane.
Father of Julia Beckles (Principal of Combermere School and Former Principal of the Alleyne School).
Brother of Beryl Deane (Former Principal of Chalky Mount Primary and Organist of St. Judes Church), Rawle Deane (Bahamas), Marion Hunte and Vernon Deane (USA), the late Vincent, Colin, Carl, and Joyce Deane.
Uncle of Grace Arthur, Vincent JR, Michael, Nichole and Patrick Deane (all from the USA), Sharon, Peter, Adrian, Andrew and Janis Deane, Anthony and Calvin Layne and Cathy-ann Webster.
Great-uncle of Kyla, Nicholas and Kristen Deane and many others.
Brother-in-law of Ruby Cumberbatch, Dorothy Marshall, Vashti Straker, Abby Brewster, Rosie Blades, Lorna Brathwaite, Hazel Deane (USA) and Hughley Hunte (USA).
Friend of Marcus Collymore, Clarence Greenridge, Diana Sobers, Rosita Holligan, Pamela Hinkson and Ernest Marshall.
A service of thanksgiving will be held on Thursday, November 17, 2022 at St. Augustine Anglican Church where relatives and friends are warmly invited to meet at 2:00 p.m. The cortege will then proceed to St. Joseph Cemetery for the interment. Flowers may be sent to Lyndhurst Funeral Home no later than 11:00 a.m. on Thursday. The body of the late Kenrick Deane will repose in the Colin Parkinson Memorial Chapel, Lyndhurst Funeral Home on Wednesday, November 17, 2022 from 4:00 – 6:00 p.m.
