BENSKIN – LAURISTON, of Risk Road, Fitts Village, St. James, entered into peaceful rest on March 27, 2017. Former instructor of Benskin Driving School and former Foreman of the Clarke & Tucker Construction Company and the Nichols and Edghill Construction Company.
Husband of the late Eleanor Benskin. Father of Carl Benskin (Former Sargeant of R.B.P.F) and Linda Benskin-Maturine. Grandfather of Vanessa and Christina Benskin, Jamar and Samir Rock and Carlana Eastmond. Great Grandfather of Leeana, Josiah and Kamariah Eastmond. Brother of Sidney, Charles, Daphne Benskin and Janet Bynoe. Cousin of May Harper and Ian Thompson. Father-in-law of Valerie Jordan-Benskin (Jordan’s Supermarket) and Hyacinth “Slims” Maturine (Carriacou, Grenada). Brother-in-law of Andrew, Anthony, Randolph and Velda Firebrace and Yvonne Barrow. Close Friend of Harold St. Hill, Lester Elcock, Keith Scott, Cynthia Haynes, Chesterfield McClean and many others.
The funeral leaves Lyndhurst Funeral Home, Passage Road, St. Michael on Monday, April 10, 2017, for the Glad Tidings Gospel Hall, Fitts Village, St. James, where relatives and friends are asked to meet at 10:00 a.m. for the service, followed by the interment at Coral Ridge Memorial Gardens, The Ridge, Christ Church. Flowers may be sent to Lyndhurst Funeral Home no later than 8:00 a.m. on Monday. The body of the late Lauriston Benskin will repose in The Colin Parkinson Memorial Chapel, Lyndhurst Funeral Home on Sunday, April 9th, 2017 from 5:00 – 6:00 p.m.

Jehovah holds out a glorious future for us as recorded at Revelation 21:3-5 where He promises that death will be no more, neither will pain, nor mourning nor outcry be anymore. He also promises us that there will be a resurrection(Acts 24:15).

Sincere condolences to Carl, Lynda, Sydney, Janet, Daphne and the entire family from the Haynes, Green and Cyrilien families. Uncle Lauriston was loved by us all. He will be missed. Our prayers are with you at this time. We give God thanks for the life he lived and the many encouraging words he often gave us. Until we meet again.
