We are thankful to our Heavenly Father for the Life of brother Mc Howard and his service and commitment to the work of his Master. He reminded us of the virtues of gentleness and told us by demonstration that passion can be controlled. His two “diplomatic journeys” to Guyana in querulous times displayed his character and confirmed his suitability for the role. The grace of God had made him into a competent helper. Although he did not gain all he desired, he showed the way to peaceful resolution of matters and for this we will be thankful.
The saints in Barbados would doubtlessly miss his smiles and genuine laughter; Campers his kindness in service; and we all the lovely kind of man he had become. May the comfort of our Heavenly Father be known by his dear wife, Cynthia and daughter Lisa and also by all for whom he had been in many roles along their journey.

Gulstone McFarrel (Mac) Howard, aged 73, late of Welches Terrace, St. Thomas, formerly of Free Hill, St. Michael and Rosegate, St. John went to his heavenly home on December 21, 2022.

Son-in-law of the late Estelle and Athelstan Cumberbatch.

A service of praise and thanksgiving will be held on Saturday, January 14, 2023 at Coral Ridge Memorial Gardens Chapel, The Ridge, Christ Church where relatives and friends are asked to meet at 2:00 p.m. for the service followed by the interment. The family requests masks to be worn.
Flowers may be sent to Lyndhurst Funeral Home no later than 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. Viewing of the body of the late G. McFarrel Howard will take place at the Colin Parkinson Memorial Chapel, Lyndhurst Funeral Home on Friday, January 13, 2023 from 4:00 – 6:00 p.m.
