Maude Phillips

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Maude Phillips, who left us on September 15th, 2024 at the age of 90.

Maude Phillips was born on September 24th, 1933 in Saint Phillips, Barbados. Throughout her life, she was known for her unwavering faith, boundless joy and deep love for her family. She had a special gift for making every moment brighter, always finding joy in life’s simplest pleasures.

She was the daughter of the late Olivia Franklyn and the late William Blackman. A beloved wife to the late Gibson Phillips. Maude Phillips is survived by her siblings: Hyacinth Yard, Doreen Taylor and Grantley Franklyn. Her nephews: Huevonne, David, Prince and Christopher. Her nieces: Marcia, Henrietta, Claire, Omar and Sonja.

Her memorial service will be held at Lyndhurst Chapel on Passage Road, St. Michael, Barbados on the 11th October, 2024. Her final resting place will be at Westbury Cemetery in St. Michael, Barbados.

May Maude Phillips rest in peace and may her legacy of love and joy continue to inspire us all.
