HAMBLIN – OSCAR ANTHONY, aged 83, affectionately known as “Nard”, late of Deacon’s Road, St. Michael entered into rest on December 21, 2018. Retired worker of Barbados Port Authority and Member of R M Cleaners Domino Club. Son of the late Ismay Hamblin and Beresford Archer. Father of Robert Rowe, Trevor White, Elvis, Andrea Gittens, Sharon Cumberbatch, Alisha and Dana Belgrave. Adoptive father of Sandra, Daphne and Otha Pearce. Grandfather of Tanya and Damian Pearce, Toni and Andre Millar, Greg Alleyne, Jaydon Gittens, Akiva Cumberbatch and Darnelle and Kerry Rowe. Great-grandfather of 7. Brother of Marcia, Laureen, Hugh, Wilfred and Ralph Prince, Errol Prince (UK), Grace Prince (Canada), Monica Prince (USA) and Tyrone Phillips. Uncle of Stacy and Sandra Prince, Shellyann Gill, Felicia Cox, Lakeisha White, Lyndon Johnson and many others. Great uncle of Chad Samuels and Javon Powlett. Cousin of David Archer and many others. Father-in-law of Barbara-Ann Rowe, Winston Cumberbatch and Ricardo Gittens. Relative of the Archer, Prince and Phillips families. Friend of the Democratic Labour Party, the members of the St. Michael North West Constituency and others too numerous to mention.
The funeral leaves Lyndhurst Funeral Home, Passage Road, St. Michael on Wednesday, January 09, 2019 for Abundant Life Assembly, Bank Hall, St. Michael, where relatives and friends are asked to meet at 1:00 p.m. for the service. The cortege will then proceed to Coral Ridge Memorial Gardens, The Ridge, Christ Church for the interment. Flowers may be sent to Lyndhurst Funeral Home, no later than 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday. The body of the late Oscar Anthony Hamblin will repose at the Democratic Labour Party Headquarters,” Kenington”, George Street, St. Michael, on Tuesday, January 08, 2019 from 4:00 – 6:00 p.m.
