The Honourable Rudolph “Cappy” Greenidge, OR, SC, age 79 of Marley Vale, St. Philip entered into rest
on August 2, 2024. Former Minister of Labour, Education, Youth Affairs and Sports. Former Representative of
the St. Philip North Constituency. Former teacher of Princess Margaret Secondary, St Leonard’s Boys’ and St
George Secondary Schools and former teacher in the Cayman Islands and the Turks and Caicos Islands. Loyal
member of the Barbados Labour Party and St. Catherine’s Sports and Social Club.
Son of the late James “C B” Clarke and Elma “Nana” Clarke.
Father of Dr. Nadya Mason and Clive Blackett.
Grandfather of Maya Billington.
Brother of Carlisle Greenidge, Henderson, Eleanor and Cecile Clarke and Audwin “Bird” Alleyne.
Uncle of Ron Clarke, Paul Jones, Sandy Headley, Jason and Janna Greenidge, Kayode Pantophlet and Nicholas

An Official Funeral for The Honourable Rudolph “Cappy” Greenidge will be held on Friday, August 23, 2024
at the Chapel of Coral Ridge Memorial Gardens, where relatives and friends are asked to meet at 10:00 a.m.
The cortege will then proceed to St. Catherine Anglican Church for the interment. Flowers may be sent to
Lyndhurst Funeral Home no later than 7:30 a.m. on Friday. The body of the late Honourable Rudolph “Cappy”
Greenidge will repose in the St. Catherine Anglican Church on Thursday, August 22, 2024 from 3:00 – 6:00
p.m.
