I would like to send my sincere condolences to the family of Sheila Leslie. To my great regret, I only heard of her death last week when I was speaking to a Jamaican friend in the US. I am in Canberra, Australia and I was very upset to hear that Sheila had passed.
I lived at "Elsdale" with Sheila for two years in 1970-1971. I loved my time there and already miss the wonderful discussions Sheila and I used to have. I stayed with Sheila several times on return visits. I am so sad that I did not see her when apparently she was very ill. Unless I caught Sheila on the phone from time to time I did not have any news of her. I rang before Christmas and again a few months ago (too late I fear) but I was unable to catch her at home.

Please accept my sincere sympathy. You have lost a wonderful person who contributed so much to so many.

With fond memories of a lifelong friend whom I first met in Montego Bay, 1963. Later visits in Barbados, and Kingston a few years ago. Rest in peace, Sheila.

Francine and I, Jeanette, were so saddened to hear the news of your passing. We remember with pleasure the wonderful times we spent with you years ago, while on CXC business. Those years of your welcome, your warmth, the comfortable ambience you wrapped us in, will always be wonderful memories.
Walk good Sheila!
